Welcome! My name is Abby. I'm a freelance writer and the Admissions and Marketing Coordinator at Chesterfield Montessori School. I have a bachelor of arts in English and creative writing with a minor in women and gender studies from Canisius University. I've also completed the internationally-recognized AMI Certificate for Montessori Core Principles, where I studied Montessori theory and philosophy across human development stages.

I'm passionate about journalism, poetry, vinyl music, art and all things local and sustainable. Usually, I can be found biking to a local coffee shop for an iced vanilla latte!

Biking and Activism with Colored Girls Bike Too (CGBT)

Colored Girls Bike Too (CGBT) is more than a biking group in Buffalo. It’s a movement for people who identify as Black women, and/or gender nonconforming Black people to connect over the common interest of biking. CGBT was founded in 2017 by Jalonda Hill, who is also known as “Justice,” for the purpose of creating an intentional safe space for Black women and nonbinary Black people in Buffalo.
