$15 million approved for new 911 call center

The plan to combine St. Louis City’s police, fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) into one call center was recently announced by Mayor Tishaura Jones. The Public Safety Answering Point seeks to address a dispatcher shortage in the city and concerns for long hold times when calling 911.

Developers discuss $135 million Albion development

At the corner of Lindell Boulevard and Kingshighway sits a vacant lot, but Koplar Properties and Albion Residential have announced the development of a 30-story, 293-unit, luxury apartment tower to fill the vacancy. Their project, Albion West End, is to be located at 4974 Lindell, just south of the Chase Park Plaza hotel, and will be completely finished by 2025.

Mary Badham, who played Scout in Harper Lee’s "To Kill A Mockingbird," travels the world spreading the book’s messages of hope, acceptance and integrity. On June 11, Badham visited Depew High School and reflected on her memories of making the film, as well as on her experiences growing up in her hometown of Birmingham, Alabama.
